This post is intended partly to act as an overflow for threads from Baker Street's overflowed thirst mistletoe meme. But I will gladly take any new threads as well, either for mistletoe or general winter shenanigans!

For some winter prompts, this meme has some! And with the mistletoe, it can either be ordinary or magical, and have whatever sorts of requirements would make the thread the most fun! My only real preference is that I won't write out any sex. Beyond that, go wild and be merry, everyone!

Oh, there you are Lee-san! [ Coming up from the side, Nyuu is hiding something behind her back, but she's not that covert about it. It's hard to hide something wrapped in reflective green paper, after all. ] I was looking for you. I wanted to give you something!

Nyuu-san! It is good to see you! Ah... something, for me? [He manages to be oblivious about the present behind her back, but he's curious now.]

[ She nods emphatically, and whether it's from the cold or just her being her, her cheeks are already quite pink. ]

Yes! But you have to close your eyes first...it's a surprise. [ Truth be told, she's still feeling kind of nervous about giving a gift in the first place. ] I promise it's nothing weird!

[ Spoilers: it's a scarf. An orange one, even, to match his legwarmers. Because c'mon Lee, you need to color coordinate your outfit a little more. ]

...P-perhaps it could. Yet my very skin is toxic! Only a certain few beings have the power to resist it.

[And so she steps closer, leaning in to brush her lips softly against the very corner of his mouth. Double-risk, by his words, but she doesn't seem particularly afraid of what might happen to her as a result.]

[He gives a silent gasp and turns full on beet red as her lips press against his face. Gundam's dark heart pulses with an unexpectedly warm energy, and he wonders if some new spell is at hand.]

Th-this... [He breathes, but it's hard to find words in the wake of this odd and intoxicating phenomenon.]

[He glances up towards Sonia, intrigued.]

What?! You know of a ritual?

You should have said so sooner. Danger is but my constant companion. It is the blanket that I sleep with! Tell me about this ritual and name this so-called danger... Then, watch as I laugh uproariously in its face!

I have... read of such a thing. [ It may be Too Much for other reasons though, and she's more than a little hesitant to bring it up. In her country things were probably different, but lbr here... the famous mistletoe moment has probably been in more than one or two of the dramas she's watched in her time of marathonining. ]

I am not certain of it will work, but I do not believe that blame would rest with you if it didn't. Very well. [ She sounds a little more determined now, eyes sharp as she gives him a smile. ]

First, we must close our eyes. There is a chant.

[He is skeptical for a moment. But ultimately, he cannot doubt that determination in her eyes. He nods and closes his eyes.]

I see... Very well, then. Let this chant be heard, and let the very earth itself quake at your might!

some random day before chapter 3

[ it's always one new thing after the other on jabberwock island, and some things are interesting, while some aren't. while walking alone during her free time, hiyoko comes across a strange looking plant. she's never seen anything like it before, and she knows the plants that are native to japan! it's what she has to be familiar with as the heiress to the saionji traditional dancers, after all...

to herself, she speaks, and she has no idea that somebody is nearby. ]

I wonder what kind of stupid thing I have to tell Akane for her to eat that plant! I hope it's poisonous!

[hamnation]

[Gundam happens upon the scene, following his hamsters, which gave picked up an unusual scent on the island. He noticed Hiyoko before the plant, however, and he approaches her with a curious glare.]

What devilry are you going on about now, you fiend?

I—wait, what?

[Hold up. He can't let that pass. That's just crazy talk?! His body sways forward with the thump on his back, but then he steadies himself and gives Nidai a dubious look, from all the way down here.]

What's that supposed to mean, you think I'm not a real man because I've never made out with a dude?

Mistletoe?

[It's becoming easier to guess what she means... this time he looks up to follow her line of sight and notices the mistletoe. He does know what it means, and his heart flutters a little as he realizes that he's under the mistletoe with Riza Hawkeye, but he's nervous about it at the same time. He just stares up at the mistletoe for a moment and tries to act casual while a few nervous beads of sweat grow on his fore head.]

Ha! Would... would ya look at that! That's a mistletoe alright. No doubt about it!

[It doesn't feel like there's anything on his actual shoes, come to think of it. Maybe that mistletoe really is responsible for this....]

[Meanwhile, Riza's just exasperated. If she's going to have to kiss anyone, it'll be of her own volition, thanks very much. (Though the thought of kissing Gumshoe isn't really a distasteful endeavor, now that she thinks about it.) She offers him a slightly apologetic smile.]

Sorry to get you stuck here. I'm sure there are plenty of other things you'd rather be doing.

[But, since the key to him doing all of those other things is getting him free of the pesky mistletoe's clutches, they better move forward with this.]

It has? [He gives a surprised glance towards her at her assessment.] But the streamers did not come in the correct colors, nor did all of the flavors of punch that people wanted. And- and...

[He pauses as he looks down at the plate and the juice that have been handed on him. His stomach may be rumbling mildly.]

I cannot thank you enough for such a gesture, Maizono-kun! It is true that I have not truly had anything to eat or drink yet on this fine evening... but you did not have to go to such lengths! [He's not sure if he deserves it.]

[The tone her voice was more firm as she says his name, which was also accompained with an unyeilding gaze. She'd give him a pat on the shoulder, but her hands are full right now.] If it makes you feel better, I didn't notice the streamer colors at all. From what I can see, everyone looks like they are enjoying the punch.

[The sound of her voice softens and her lips form into a gentle smile.] Don't worry about the little things, okay? You did a wonderful job setting everything up, so you deserve to enjoy yourself at the pary as well! More than anyone, actually.

You are welcome! It's the least I can do for you, since you have been working so hard on making this a fun party for all of us. [Yes, Ishimaru you silly thing. You most definitely deserve a plate of delicious treats!] If you ever forget to eat again, I'll be forced to scold you. So... watch out! ♥[Even though she's giggling, there was a part of her that was being serious about that threat.]
