The Turnabout Voicetest

This is a voice test for Phoenix Wright of Ace Attorney fame! Feel free to throw people here.

Some general guidelines:

-I'm primarily testing him with a Dual Destinies canon point. I still am welcoming of a few prompts for earlier time periods and possibly AUs, though, as long as they don't dominate. (Except that I don't think I can brain Hobo!Phoenix at this time)
-Nothing really explicitly shippy; I don't think I even have any shipping preferences with him just yet. But general fluff is fine.
-I'm not exactly sure about specific kinds of scenarios I'd like to play beyond one: working to unlock someone's Psych-Locks? And maybe emotional canon talks.
-Feel free to plunder the Random Scenario Meme for ideas (Leaving out sex of course)? I also welcome generic jamjar scenarios and text message threads.

[And now Phoenix has just made her morning worse. Franziska jabs a finger right in his face.]

Do you think I'd be here if I hadn't? That idiot dodged his tracking device.

[Which, logically, would mean Gumshoe isn't an idiot, but that is a discussion for elsewhere.]

But his last known location was in this vicinity. [She takes a look at the office again, dropping one hand to her hip.] Not that I can fathom why he would come here.

[His eyes nervously narrow in on the piercing finger. He tries to play innocent, for the sake of protecting Gumshoe.]

A social call? Gumshoe, he... stops by to talk about tv shows with Maya sometimes! [He doesn't need to be in a courtroom to bluff, right?] That must have been it! Still don't know where he could have gone from there...

Then produce your assistant for questioning.

[She frowns, displeased that she has to stay here longer. Why couldn't Gumshoe just be where she needed him to be? Like at her office with her damn dry cleaning.]

Unless she is not here either, and then I would cite your inability to keep track of anyone.

[Sorry, but my office hasn't happened to receive its own standard-issued tracking devices...]

She should be out at Eldoon's eating lunch right now. She'll be back eventually, and then we'll all be able to talk like reasonable adults. How does that sound? [He feels like a true martyr right now... Remember him well, friends...]

[She guessed as much. Franziska sighs openly and looks around, regarding all of the office chairs in here like they might break at any moment.]

Eventually? [How did she ever lose to this guy??]

Fine. Then show me a seat that isn't a potential lower back problem waiting to happen.

[Because... friendship, maybe? He frets as he looks around.]

Sorry, but what you see is what you get. We don't really have much variety in the way of seats around here.

[Ugh, friendship. What a weakness.]

I would send over my interior decorator, but I fear your entire building isn't worth as much as an hour of his time.

[Franziska dusts a spot off on the edge of Phoenix's desk instead, perching there after setting a handkerchief down.]

[Somehow, he feels like that portion of the desk is only dirtier now. Phoenix replies to her flatly.]

He must lead a busy life...

So, how long are you planning to stay here, exactly?

Flying to and from Germany takes a great deal of time and money.

[She's still looking around like an antiques appraiser having been brought against her will to a yard sale.]

And until either that fool produces himself or your assistant can do the same, I'm here. This is his last known location and I intend to investigate it.

[Or would, if she had someone else to pick around this place.]

[Of course it's someone who lives in Germany. Why would it be anyone else?

This is going to be a long morning.]

I don't think you'll find many clues here about where they could be. But if we're just burning time, we could talk about that case...

[Her eyes narrow at the mention of a case and her arms cross defensively.]

And what case do you mean? If this is a foolish plot to steal information from me, I'll see you sorely regret it, Phoenix Wright.

Stealing information? I- I wouldn't even dream of it! I'm just wondering, what's so urgent that you need Gumshoe for...

[And where did that whip come from? Don't ask, because it just snapped at the ground by Phoenix's feet.]

Don't play coy, Phoenix Wright! You're not very good at it! What case are you working that you think I need that buffoon's help?

Ack!

[Why did I think it was possible to ask an innocent question around her?!]

It's just... the way you're waiting for him, it just seems that you do need him for whatever you have in mind... [He can't think of the magical words that will prevent a whipping, so the truth will have to do.]

I don't need him for anything. I simply require his services.

[She twists the whip in her hands, readying it for another blow if necessary.]

He has something of mine.

[What could he have of hers? Something gives me the stinging feeling that we can leave out the whip...]

And you're not going to tell me what it is, are you. [He says with a resigned sigh. Why does he have the feeling this will have to do with some case where they'll end up facing each other in court?] But it's Detective Gumshoe we're talking about. Have you considered he might not have whatever it is on him right now?

I sent him on the errand, so why--

[Wait, no that's entirely plausible. The last time she sent Gumshoe on an errand, he'd come back with everything BUT the thing she'd asked him for. Why was it that she was surrounded by fools?!

She holds out a hand.]

Give me your phone.

Why does it have to be my phone?

[Ugh, Phoenix Wright, why must you be such a stick in the mud?]

Because he won't answer my call. Don't make me ask twice.

[Better to be a stick in the mud than a... whip in the mud?]

Alright, fine. The battery's low, but... [He quietly hands the phone over to her.

Sorry, Gumshoe...]

It won't take long.

[And whips don't go in mud, they slap people upside the head.

She takes the phone and sighs, looking at the battery life. She'll have to send over one of those wireless chargers. Anonymously, of course. With only a brief nod to acknowledge Phoenix did anything at all, she turns and punches in Gumshoe's number. A ring or two later and she turns her back, hackles raising.]

You have ten minutes to return to the office with what I asked you to do or I'll dock your pay so quickly that you'll only see a paycheck in your dreams! Now!

[She hangs up before Gumshoe can respond and turns, holding the phone out again.]

You should charge this more frequently.

[Phoenix winces as he overhears the phone call. Alas, poor Gumshoe, we hardly knew ye.]

I'll make a note of that. [He flatly accepts his phone.] When I figure out where my charger went off to...

So... How was Gumshoe?

[This is just awkward. He can't concentrate on any of his work with this scary person on his desk.]

[She frowns, even more displeased at Phoenix's admission.]

Buy a new one.

[Heck, she'll buy him a new one. Imperfect things annoy her and having a phone at that low of a charge is actually irking her more than she wants to admit.]

As for the fool, he made a most satisfying attempt at apologizing before I cut him off. He'll be back at the office presently, I expect.

...

If he wants to keep his job.

[Muffled sobs echo from the distance.]
