The Turnabout Voicetest
This is a voice test for Phoenix Wright of Ace Attorney fame! Feel free to throw people here.
Some general guidelines:
-I'm primarily testing him with a Dual Destinies canon point. I still am welcoming of a few prompts for earlier time periods and possibly AUs, though, as long as they don't dominate. (Except that I don't think I can brain Hobo!Phoenix at this time)
-Nothing really explicitly shippy; I don't think I even have any shipping preferences with him just yet. But general fluff is fine.
-I'm not exactly sure about specific kinds of scenarios I'd like to play beyond one: working to unlock someone's Psych-Locks? And maybe emotional canon talks.
-Feel free to plunder the Random Scenario Meme for ideas (Leaving out sex of course)? I also welcome generic jamjar scenarios and text message threads.
Court is now in session!

Don't play coy, Phoenix Wright! You're not very good at it! What case are you working that you think I need that buffoon's help?
1/2
[Why did I think it was possible to ask an innocent question around her?!]

[She twists the whip in her hands, readying it for another blow if necessary.]
He has something of mine.
no subject
And you're not going to tell me what it is, are you. [He says with a resigned sigh. Why does he have the feeling this will have to do with some case where they'll end up facing each other in court?] But it's Detective Gumshoe we're talking about. Have you considered he might not have whatever it is on him right now?
no subject
[Wait, no that's entirely plausible. The last time she sent Gumshoe on an errand, he'd come back with everything BUT the thing she'd asked him for. Why was it that she was surrounded by fools?!
She holds out a hand.]
Give me your phone.

Because he won't answer my call. Don't make me ask twice.
no subject
Alright, fine. The battery's low, but... [He quietly hands the phone over to her.
Sorry, Gumshoe...]
no subject
[And whips don't go in mud, they slap people upside the head.
She takes the phone and sighs, looking at the battery life. She'll have to send over one of those wireless chargers. Anonymously, of course. With only a brief nod to acknowledge Phoenix did anything at all, she turns and punches in Gumshoe's number. A ring or two later and she turns her back, hackles raising.]
You have ten minutes to return to the office with what I asked you to do or I'll dock your pay so quickly that you'll only see a paycheck in your dreams! Now!
[She hangs up before Gumshoe can respond and turns, holding the phone out again.]
You should charge this more frequently.
no subject
I'll make a note of that. [He flatly accepts his phone.] When I figure out where my charger went off to...
So... How was Gumshoe?
[This is just awkward. He can't concentrate on any of his work with this scary person on his desk.]
no subject
Buy a new one.
[Heck, she'll buy him a new one. Imperfect things annoy her and having a phone at that low of a charge is actually irking her more than she wants to admit.]
As for the fool, he made a most satisfying attempt at apologizing before I cut him off. He'll be back at the office presently, I expect.
...
If he wants to keep his job.
[Not Here]

Can you at least reward him if he's back in a timely manner? I think I read a book recently on the effects of positive reinforcement on scruffy detectives...
[But as he thinks over her advice on the cell phone charger, he suddenly voices his problem.]
Hold it! Just because the charger's missing doesn't mean I should buy a new one entirely. [He slams his hands on the desk.] Because if the original turns up later, it will have been a waste of money!
no subject
She has to think fast, but she snaps the whip in her hands and then points at Phoenix.]
Objection! It isn't a waste of money if you buy a better charger! One that cannot be lost by fools unable to keep track of even simple things, for example!
[Ha! That. Oh dud. She was going to send one to him, but now if she sends it, it'll be obvious it was from her. Darn it!]
And as for the detective, his reward is keeping his job.
no subject
Objection! The quality of a charger won't effect someone's ability to lose it, regardless of whether or not they're fools! And losing that... would mean even more money down the drain!
...And are you sure you can't raise the bar just a little for the poor guy? [With the way Edgeworth cuts his checks, he feels extra bad for the guy when Franziska's in town.]
