This is a voice test for Phoenix Wright of Ace Attorney fame! Feel free to throw people here.

Some general guidelines:

-I'm primarily testing him with a Dual Destinies canon point. I still am welcoming of a few prompts for earlier time periods and possibly AUs, though, as long as they don't dominate. (Except that I don't think I can brain Hobo!Phoenix at this time)
-Nothing really explicitly shippy; I don't think I even have any shipping preferences with him just yet. But general fluff is fine.
-I'm not exactly sure about specific kinds of scenarios I'd like to play beyond one: working to unlock someone's Psych-Locks? And maybe emotional canon talks.
-Feel free to plunder the Random Scenario Meme for ideas (Leaving out sex of course)? I also welcome generic jamjar scenarios and text message threads.

[His years without a badge were some of hardest times of his life. Still, in an odd way, he misses when it was just him and Trucy. That's why he appreciates afternoons like this, when he gets to let her drag him around just like old times. It can get all too easy for time with Trucy to get lost in the shuffle with the agency being so alive again. The thrill of being in court again and the satisfaction of being able to contribute a lot more to their family are all great, but today is about the simply joy of spending time with the girl who became his daughter.

Phoenix chuckles softly as she guides him to their next stop.]

We could! You're the boss today, Trucy. [Today on "famous last words..."] Do you have anything in mind that he can use? [He expects the answer to be more amusing than anythig else.]

Just like old times? [ Well, she still heads the talent branch, anyway...

...which consists of Trucy only, but details. Trucy taps her index finger to her chin, considering. ]

Weeeeeeeell. Maybe some sort of disguise! Polly's just terrible at subterfuge.

[ by her standards, anyway. like he would ever agree to wear a disguise, though... ]

Just like old times. [He nods with a quiet laugh.]

You might be onto something there, Trucy. [Thoughtfully, he presses a finger to his own chin, almost mirroring her pose.] That's definitely one of the areas in which he's lacking, and I bet it could help his investigations go a lot smoother. The real question is, what would be the best disguise to start him off with?

[The family that picks on Apollo together, stays together.]

Well, I think he'd look pretty distinguished in this! [ and with a flourish, trucy releases phoenix's arm, so she has both hands to grab a cunning disguise, which she then leans up to drop on her father's face.

perfection. ]

What do you think, Daddy? We can have him wear it next time he goes investigating! Maybe with a cape.

[He takes a moment to look into a mirror and adjust the 'glasses' as he makes a quizzical expression.

Didn't Larry used to wear one of these when we were kids...?]

'Distinguished' is one word for it. A cape would definitely help, but the most important accessory would be a hat. Otherwise, that antenna of his? Dead giveaway.

Oooh! You're right. But we have to pick the perfect hat! Come on, let's find that next!

[ the criteria may or may not be "what will make Apollo screech the loudest".

trucy is a great sidekick. clearly. she should get an award for all this sidekicking she is doing! it's just that she might be sidekicking for her father in trolling apollo... ]

[It's the best kind of sidekicking Phoenix could ask for. Maybe one day he should give Trucy her own badge for it.

He casually peruses the wares, while keeping the fake glasses on for the moment, and generally acting like he's looking for some kind of normal and sane purchase. He soon indicates a certain hoodie hat.]

This one looks like it could be named Polly. [A thoughtful pause.} And I think that I can imagine it screaming it, too.

[stagewright]

[ Yes, good, perfect. They must accost Apollo post haste with these things, once they get back to the agency. ]

Oooh, Daddy! You have the best taste. [ Or the worst taste, which is of course the best in this situation. ] I think with this, we should grab a red cape, too! Since it'll match.

[ They can almost assuredly get Polly to wear this ridiculous get up with their combined persuasive might.

...Why does Apollo work for these losers. ]

[Accosting Apollo is a top priority of the Wright Anything Agency, especially when there aren't murder cases to take the overall priority slot.]

You really think so? Thanks! [He smiles bashfully as if this was a genuine compliment.]

I trust you on the cape. You have a better eye for these things than I do. ["These things" meaning "basic color coordination". I can barely color coordinate myself into a blue suit as it is!] He heads over towards the capes and starts shifting between a few different sizes of red capes.] What if we get him a really tiny one? I bet he could make an interesting backstory with that.

[Apollo works for these losers because he is himself a loser. The losest.]
