This is a voice test for Phoenix Wright of Ace Attorney fame! Feel free to throw people here.

Some general guidelines:

-I'm primarily testing him with a Dual Destinies canon point. I still am welcoming of a few prompts for earlier time periods and possibly AUs, though, as long as they don't dominate. (Except that I don't think I can brain Hobo!Phoenix at this time)
-Nothing really explicitly shippy; I don't think I even have any shipping preferences with him just yet. But general fluff is fine.
-I'm not exactly sure about specific kinds of scenarios I'd like to play beyond one: working to unlock someone's Psych-Locks? And maybe emotional canon talks.
-Feel free to plunder the Random Scenario Meme for ideas (Leaving out sex of course)? I also welcome generic jamjar scenarios and text message threads.

[Guess who didn't wake up when her alarm went off due to researching and trying to familiarize herself with the evidence for their next trial. So here comes Athena flying into the agency, toast in mouth and her messenger bag crossed over her chest. The door slamming open and...]

I'm so sorry that I'm late! Widget didn't wake me up and I hurried here!

[Is there a tv in the agency... Well there is right now. One of the Steel Samurai videos that Maya sent is playing on it as background noise while Phoenix is overlooking the evidence. Curiously, as Athena enters, a scene almost exactly like that is playing on the television. With the toast and everything!

Phoenix glances between the television and Athena curiously. What is it they say about life imitating art?]

Slow down, Athena. It's okay. We still have some time to spare, and I've been looking over everything we know so far. We're not doomed yet. [That part comes later.]

[As far as Athena knew, there was always a TV there.

B U T . . .

Phoenix not being up to day with technology, it was one of those old bulky ones with a built in VCR.

Give her a moment to catch her breath and actually be able to eat her toast.]

Oh thank god! I spent all night trying to look over evidence. [Please don't say that...]

See this? This is his look of patience. Pure, unfiltered, patience.]

I hope you remembered to spend some of that night sleeping, too. [There's no evidence quite like a good night's sleep? ...No, scratch that one.] Did you happen to reach any breakthroughs?

[Hey! At least she's serious about this case!]

I... got some sleep... [She actually fell asleep against her will, but that counts right?] I did get a few ideas and a few thoughts came to mind, but nothing mind blowing right now...

Don't worry about it. [He gives a soft sigh, but he keeps himself patient.] We'll review the evidence and the facts of the case together right now, and then we'll see where we end up. How does that sound?

[At least she's trying.]

Fine, fine... Do you have some orange juice here, though?

[A piece of toast, evidence and a glass of OJ. All part of a defense attornet's balanced breakfast.]

There should be some left in the mini-fridge, if you like pulp. [He indicates a dinky old mini-fridge.]

Well, it's better than the fake stuff.

[You know... The stuff Apollo got for her last time that wasn't real orange juice.... Doesn't even know the difference between a stepladder and a ladder...

Grabbing some for herself, she went to sit on the couch, setting the glass down on the table where she could find a free space after taking a drink. Activating Widget, she flipped through a few screens to find her evidence she had digitally.]

Where should we start then?

Right... [Note to self: Have a stern talk with Apollo about the seriousness of forging fruit juice.]

Let's think about the murder weapon first. We have to prove that the victim couldn't have had it at the time, or the prosecution will use that as our case's murder weapon.

Well.. [Flipping a few slides] I doubt someone as young and small as our client could even use that kind of gun, but without evidence, that means nothing. You would think using that gun would show wear on the user.

[bewrightback]

They say he was wearing thick gloves at the time, which would have stifled the effect enough. [Unless...? Hm. I wonder what she'll think of.] How would we counter that claim?

Even so... I find it hard to believe there wouldn't be some strain from recoil...

First of all, and this is probably the most obvious thing, we'd have to make sure there are no finger prints on the gun to see if this is true or not. Second of all, if they want to say that's the reason, than they'd better provide evidence of said gloves. Without evidence, their claim holds no water either.

That's good thinking, Athena. If either of those points come up in the courtroom, I'll let you handle that objection.
