Choose your character from the selection above! Other possible choices can be found at my muselist though they may not as definitely be available for threads.
Name the character you want and either go right into a prompt or request a starter from me! Feel free to indicate any preferences of your own as well.
I'm open to a variety of scenarios, with my main limits being avoiding scenarios that are too extreme in terms of being bleak/graphic, and I also do not play smut, although adult content is otherwise still fine.
When it comes to shipping, I mostly play m/f with my characters or f/f when it comes to Scorpia and possibly Gina. Some exceptions are possible here and there (such as Ishimaru/Mondo and shipping Drake with Launchpad and/or Fenton). Open to trying out both ships within canon or crosscanon pairings!
Feel free to pull from various memes such as the Random Scenario Meme and various other non-smut ones! Gen, adventure, comedy, some crack, angst, hurt/comfort, cuddling, romantic tension, being stuck in ridiculous scenarios, there's many possibilities. I do also love characters exploring dreams/mindscapes. And AUs can also be welcome!
[ Outside 221B Baker St, the wind howls, and the rain patters hard against the glass of the window. It is certainly a nasty storm that engulfs London tonight, though being stuck inside when you have the warmth of the fireplace and a good book, Susato thinks, isn't all that bad. Since she's still waiting on Iris to finish her latest Sholmes manuscript, though, she's stuck reading some other mystery novel tonight, and after about an hour of that, she yawns, suddenly eager to stretch her arms and legs.
Idly, she reaches for her favorite bookmark to keep her place. She knows exactly where she put it, naturally--so why is it that when her fingers reached the edge of the side table, she's met with... nothing? ]
Giiina. [ Her voice is suspicious, but playfully so, at least, as she calls her name. ] ...Did you take my bookmark again?
[It was a nice evening to hang around Baker Street. Especially during a storm like this! She's spent too many nights having to find shelter during such downpours in the past. Rain becomes relaxing from the other side, when it's just a bunch of droplets dotting the other side of the window, and the pattern of the pattering noises is almost relaxing.
There is good company on top of that, though Gina can be a bit restless when others are busy. Iris is of course trying to meet her deadline, so Gina knows not to disturb her. And Susato's been focused on reading. With both of them wrapped up in their own stuff, Gina gets a bit restless. She's been trying to do things like polish her badge, but it's possible that she might have slipped some mischief in there somewhere.
Once Susato questions here, Gina closes her eyes and shakes a head, with an empty hand extended.]
Blimey, Sooze. Puttin' the blame on me so quick? [She might sound a bit playful herself...] Just cos I'm an ol' diver, eh? You should know that now I'm far too upstandin' for somefin' like that...
[ Look, you can't blame her for suspecting. It isn't the first time it's happened, though with most things, she's been able to strongarm them back in some form or another. Either way, Susato has been able to put the skill to good use in the past, so she doesn't seem mad, though she does sigh.
She takes care to take another glance around the table, just to make sure she hasn't dropped it anywhere. Just in case. As she is looking around, she answers, multitasking: ]
Because you are a diver, you have been known to test both Iris and myself, and I also happen to know that you have been bored, safe though you may be from the rain.
[ ...She peers up from the table, looking at Gina with a shrug. ]
[Gina isn't bothered by Susato's accusation in the slightest. After all, Susato's a very smart, logical and kind person. If she says something, there's absolutely a reason behind it. And Gina feels she can trust that. That, and, she may have known it would come to this! A slight smile plays on Gina's face as she watches Susato in her search and listens to her lay out her case.]
I reckon you're startin' to sound all Sholmes-like, puttin' all that together like that. Fancy yourself a great detective, Sooze?
[Now her smile's turning into a full-on grin, as she opens her hands to reveal empty palms.]
Wot say we prove it! It ain't on me, an' I'm bein' 'onest about that. But it might be 'idden somewhere in this very room. Now can ya deduce that?
[What better way to liven things up then with a game?]
[ But how?! Susato would have definitely seen her take it. There's no way she could have gotten that close...... Then again, she did hit the climax of her book not long ago, and was super invested in the reveals that came with it. When Gina was teaching both her and Iris, also, she displayed a surprising amount of cunning, stealth, and slight-of-hand.
However it happened, it happened, and rather than doing something barbaric as folding the corner of the page (!!!), Susato just very gently puts the book face down to keep her place. ]
Very well, I accept your challenge. I may not be as great as Mr Sholmes, but it sounds like a fun time indeed!
[ Susato takes a quick glance around the room. Already, she can tell this is going to be difficult; she doesn't know the room as intimately as Mr Sholmes or Iris, and it is such an all around mess, it's hard to tell what's been touched and what's been left alone. Regardless, she looks for anything that stands out as a place to start looking.
She knows she can probably eliminate Iris's chest, and the area where she is working... ]
[Don't underestimate the skill of a master diver, okay? She knows how to pick the right time to strike and to take her mark without any suspicion! Gina looks proud as ever that she's still got her hand for snatching something, and to be able to use it in this more innocent context.
Excitedly, she props her hands on her sides as she looks around.]
There's the spirit, Sooze! I believe in ya, or I won't 'ave made the challenge! Now give this room a good butcher's, all Sholmes-like!
[Definitely don't look by Iris, surely there's nothing to see there...
But there's a few things of note around the room. Toby is huddled in one corner, resting. There's an open book propped up on a stand behind the sofa, as usual. ...Except there does seem to be something sticking out of one of the pages. Closer examination would prove that it's not a bookmark, though. Just a sheet of paper with a note on it.]
...Oh? [ She does happen to glance Iris's way, but seeing as how she's still typing away, Susato decides to leave that area, if they ever make it there, for last. Her interest is piqued by the book, though she misses it her first few glances through. It obviously isn't the novel she set down (that's on the center table), but she can't deny that it was purposely propped up that way.
Susato walks on over. Too easy for it to actually be her bookmark, but perhaps what's written on it is a clue... or potentially a red herring, considering--well, Gina, and reading and writing things.
[Gina grins with pride as Susato finds the little slip of paper in the book. She feels like a genius for putting all of this together and watching Susato make her way through the first clue!]
[After she was freed from Horde Prime's control, the events around Scorpia unfolded in a whirlwind. The planet was saved, Horde Prime was soundly defeated, and everyone was free and able to mingle again. She was even able to see Catra again, how she had come so far, and gave her a mighty hug in greeting! But that moment was lost in the ensuing hug pile and other celebratory gestures. In that moment, everyone was just happy to finally be free from the grip of Horde Prime. That just leaves the lingering question of what happens next.
Everyone ends up carrying over the celebrations to a nearby village that evening. Laughter, war stories, food and drink are all shared as everyone continues that energy. But for Scorpia, it starts to fade. Because she knows that not all things have been resolved. And eventually, she notices one absence from the festivities. The one person she feels she needs to settle things with the most.
It's not long before Scorpia spots Catra somewhere on the outskirts of the festivities. She greets her with a soft, nostalgic smile.]
[ Days pass, and then weeks. Eventually, Sonia stops counting how long it has been since she left for the last time the world she once thought of as her home. After all, there is too much to do here for her to keep track of times long gone. Helping the researchers search through the all-too-many materials they have on the past of the world, leading exploration teams out into the wilder areas, she is never short of work to do. Even without the dunamis skills some of the longer-term residents of the place have learned, she has found a niche for herself, a place where her natural talents can help the world gain more stability in the aftermath of it all. It's satisfying, and every day leaves her with still deeper knowledge that she made the right choice in staying here. Compared to the knowledge that back in her original world, she would be a fugitive... being able to help out is nice.
Nicer still is the ability to come back after a long day of whatever work she's doing and see Gundham.
She hasn't yet shaken the habit of knocking upon her arrival, despite the fact that he has come to expect her visits, nor the knowledge that she is entirely welcome within his house. So knock she does, one hand politely tapping the wood while the other's fingers wrap around a small basket. As always, she comes bearing gifts. ]
It's me, [ she announces herself when, as per usual, a tower of woodland animals opens the door on his behalf. ] I hope you have not yet eaten; I brought food!
[Gundam has lived in Empatheias for several years already. But it was only after their return from their trip home that it felt like his life here had truly begun. One book of his life was closes forever, and now this one was wider open than ever. And it was one he was not traversing alone. Sonia was here with him, now closer than ever before. Closer than he ever expected to be with anyone.
Regardless, they do not see each other for most of a given day. Both of them keep themselves busy. Gundam himself has been looking after various troubled animals and helping the Wildlife Society with their conservation efforts. He has also continued to hone his dunamis and has even begun to hold occasional lessons to pass down what he's learned. He is not surprised that Sonia has found so many things to do as well that reflect her own skills. As he expected, she still is and always shall be the Ultimate Princess.
When the time comes for the two of them to reunite, it can easily feel like a golden highlight of any day. Gundam eagerly awaits her arrival within his home. The house continues to act partially as a shelter for such a wide variety of animals, including the Leaning Tower of Terror that answers the door. It has also come to be filled with more plant-life, as Gundam has planted the various flowers that have been sprouting during his and Sonia's moments of emotional closeness. As she enters his home, the flowers look more alive than ever, as if supercharged with sunlight, and some of them even seem to be swaying slightly to the song of their emotions.
Once she enters, Gundam has just finished tending to a one-eyed doberman that he is kneeled besides. His trusty Crabrawler scuttles nearby. Once Gundam hears her voice, his eyes close, and he smiles tenderly. The warmth in the room grows, and there's a faint sound of bells.]
Kehehe... Of course. I have yet to consume anything upon this eve. It would... not feel right to take part in the day's feast without you, Sonia.
[He stands and opens his eyes to look at her. His cheeks glow - at least these days, it's out of joy more often than any kind of embarrassment. And he starts to close the difference between them, the flowers becoming livelier in the process.]
Tell me, what offerings have you brought forth to serve as Hell's Banquet?
[ It is in so many ways the best part of Sonia's day to return back to Gundham's place after the work is done. The work itself is of course fulfilling, allowing her to both lead and serve the world's community in the way she was born to do; however, there's something about the smile with which he greets her, with warmth and music and light, that brings a sense of closure and comfort both, unlike anything she had felt ever before being called to this world.
As always, Sonia's entry into his house is slowed several times as she pauses to offer seeds and snacks to the various creatures that make up the Leaning Tower of Terror, to check that the potted flowers are all in appropriately damp soil, and to feed a few berries to Gundham's Crabrawler. Only once all these tasks are done does she allow herself to turn her attention to him - and to his current charge - and she crosses the rest of the way to him, her smile only brightening with each step.
The mood in this house is contagious and cyclical both, she realized once - their shared joy brings life, which in turn bolsters their joy. And so it goes, around and around. Right now, Sonia's eyes are sparkling with the light, and as if heightened by the power in the air, the mingled scents from the basket grow stronger, more mouth-watering. There is always joy, too, in knowing that he waited for her, in the fact that they can spend this time together, talking about the day over their meal. ]
I have brought for us a selection of meats, breads and cheeses, and a garden salad on the side. And of course, there's more than enough to share around as well, for anyone who might want carrots or lettuce or something else!
[ She adds the latter in a slightly louder voice, in order to make sure any animals who might want to join them in the feast are well aware of the options available to them.
Then, she kneels to greet the newest member of the household, offering it her hand to sniff. ]
I am sure we have some meat available for you, too.
[Sonia's arrival certainly can make a day's labors feel even more rewarding. A warm smile is plastered on his face and is no longer hidden as he watches Sonia tend to the creatures of the Tower and basks in the scent of the flowers. This certainly feels like the brightest corner of the most delightful Hell whenever she enters.]
Kehehe... Interesting. That is quite the delightful selection that you have brought forth! My vassals and I shall be delighted to take part in them.
[He watches with approval as she offers her hand to the dog, which sniffs at her hand and then tries to sniff at the basket curiously.]
Good. There are certainly creatures here who will make do with what meat you have delivered. And I see that our latest wayward traveler approves of you... This hellhound is named Anubis. He will find sanctuary here until there is room for him at one of the actual animal sanctuaries.
[It's a common practice for animals to come in and out of the house until they can go to an animal shelter. ...Shelters he also frequents to ensure that they're being run properly and fairly.
He comes up close to Sonia and reaches for her hand.]
Anubis. [ The name brings a smile to her lips - as if there wasn't a broad one there already! - simply for how fitting it is. A divine name for a divine creature. When he sniffs at the basket, she pats the top of his head gently, a careful movement so as not to startle him. ] Just be patient, good sir, and I promise you will be able to enjoy most a delicious meal!
[ She straightens up again, offering Gundham a playful smile. ]
You say "actual animal sanctuaries" like this place is not already the best one Verens has to offer, Gundham.
[ It is hardly the first time she's made such a comment. Gundham's home, while not one of the official animal sanctuaries, is in her opinion the loveliest of them, whether he means it to be or not.
Of course, Sonia is also quite biased, but that is hardly the point.
It's with a smile that she accepts the reach of his hand, fingers linking through his; his place is home enough to her now that she is confident in walking with him to the table, rather than following the gentle lead of his hand; so too is she comfortable opening the basket and beginning to set the food out, laughing a playful melody whenever one of the many fluffy creatures tries to snag something earlier than they should. ]
[While Anubis does seem excited, both by the New Person and the promise of food, he does seem compliant with Sonia's request and waits, panting eagerly while awaiting Food.
And Gundam smirks some more at Sonia's words, with some color coming to his cheeks at the praise given to his home.]
Kehehe... You are correct, Sonia. It would have been more accurate to call them mankind's animal sanctuaries.
[He does do his best to ensure the animals of this world are properly taken care of! And Sonia's the best person to assure him that he's doing a good job.
His hand links with hers, and it's like he can feel powerful energy flowing between their bodies. This energy! This... this must be affection.
Gundam stands by her side as she distributes the food. All is proper. The animals feed before they do. This is the natural order of things! And Gundam stands beside her as she hands them out, while adding to her teasing.]
Indeed. You do not wish to upset the Dark Queen, correct? Should she frown, just the sight of that sorrow alone would be more devastating than any of your bites!
[ The hint of song in her laugh becomes something real in the air around them, the chiming of bells and plucking of harpstrings, as Sonia finishes setting out the food and presents it to each of Gundham's charges in turn. Some might point out that her task is not made easier by the link her hand keeps with Gundham's, but if there is true difficulty, she doesn't notice; to the contrary, the touch offers her strength.
Her companion's words make her smile, hum along with the music in the air as she works. And as always, the animals listen, obedient despite their eagerness to enjoy their food, only starting to do so once they are given permission.
Once Sonia is done, and the animals are happily feasting, she sets out the food for the two humans too, looking back up afterwards to offer Gundham a brilliant smile. ]
The others are enjoying the banquet now, oh Forbidden One. Shall we join them?
[ With her free hand, she gestures toward to table. ]
[Gundam lends her his free hand where he can when it comes to dispensing the treats. Of course letting go of her hand is unthinkable, as it is an incredible conduit through which their energies can combine!
Everything feels harmonious in a way Gundam never imagined possible, not for a fiend as incomprehendable as him. But here they were, moving perfectly in step, with the force of their feelings creating a gentle soundtrack for their union.
He looks upon the creatures under his care and smiles, seeing all is well.]
...Indeed. The time has come for us to take part in this unholy feast. Right this way, O Dark Lady...
[With that, he walks her over to her usual seat and guides her into it. It's only when she's seated that he (reluctantly) lets go of her hand so he can enter his own seat.]
[Darkwing Duck had faced off with his most dangerous foe yet. One who managed to steal his very heart! It's very unexpected and confusing when he tries to think about it too much. But when he thinks even more, he realizes he's not alone. After all, didn't Fenton have some issues involving Gandra Dee in the past? Maybe... maybe this is just the hero for him.
And so Darkwing heads right over to consult with him! He doesn't even warn him in advance. He just heads right over to his lab and tries to come in with a window! Surely it'll be easy for a caped crusader to come right in, right?]
[ It's not quite the lab, since the actual lab is underwater. But there is a place in the main building above sea level that serves as a holdover when science things are brought from the lab up to the office spaces. And fortunately for DW, Fenton was tasked with transporting a model of some kind up from the lab to this holdover space while Gyro made some last minute tweaks and adjustments to the prototype.
Unfortunately the window was one of those office type of windows that was mostly just to let light in, and didn't seem to have any way to...actually open, short of just breaking the glass.
[The only labs he recognizes are ones with windows, and he doesn't have his scuba gear yet. In any case, Darkwing Duck proceeds to spent twenty minutes trying to find some way to open the window and then slamming his head against it repeatedly. But nope, not a single crack, except maybe on his head.
[ How Fenton didn't hear the sound of banging against glass is anyone's guess, but at least he hears his phone. A bit surprised, he carefully puts down what the tools he'd been using for the last minute model tweaks before answering. ]
Fenton! Thete you are buddy. You have to let me in! How do you open this wind-d'oh!! [He cries out as a pigeon flies into his face. Now he tries to do battle with this new foe in order to banish it from his face, while trying to keep his balance from teetering!]
[ There's a moment when he hears the exclamation just a second before it comes through on the phone, and Fenton turns to see the caped hero trying to fight off a pigeon. ]
Darkwing! [ Still holding the phone, Fenton rushes over and examines the glass, trying to find a way to open it. ] I don't think these windows can actually be opened, DW.
What?! [He squawks, in the middle of shooing away a bird.] WHo makes windows that can't be opened? How are crafty costumed crimefighters supposed to enter this place?!
I think that's kind of the point. [ Not that there were many other costumed crimefighters, but this particular building was supposed to be difficult to get into. ]
Here, I'll meet you at the front doors outside in a few minutes.

And so Darkwing heads right over to consult with him! He doesn't even warn him in advance. He just heads right over to his lab and tries to come in with a window! Surely it'll be easy for a caped crusader to come right in, right?]
