Universal Voice Testing

Two voice tests for the price of one! Feel free to ask for either or both of these characters from Steven Universe.
Steven Universe is a goofy kid who wants to be friends with everyone. But he's also half human and half-Gem, which gives him special powers, and he's learning to try to use those powers to help protect the people he cares about as well as the Earth in general and to help out the three Crystal Gems who raised him.
Greg Universe is his father, a happy-go-lucky guy who used to be one-man rock band and currently runs a car wash. He's always eager to spend time with his son and be supportive of him, even if his very wary of the danger that comes with the life of being a Gem.
General guidelines:
-I am fully up to date on the series, so I can work with any canon point! I would probably prefer to play from most recent points, however.
-No smut. And in terms of shipping, only Steve/Connie and Rose/Greg.
-Otherwise pretty much everything is game! Except probably keeping things from getting too dark/bleak. Feel free to use a random scenario meme or a RP Scenario Generator for ideas!
GIMME GIMME I want BOTH
Can adjust Rose's canon point to be as late as possible if you want- right now it's post-We Need To Talk.]
sonself first
[Somewhere out there, in a dimension beyond the knowledge of any gem, is a certain world. One that was once touched by warfare, but has now entered an era of peace. It's there that Steven as well as his father have found themselves for the time being, in a sleepy village where everyone has wings that cannot fly. Steven still likes the wings for what they are, though.
The boy has been given a special job at the item shop; it definitely was not done just to keep him busy. Steven is to keep stock of the items that appear. Today he chooses to do so in the same manner as always, as he plays his ukulele and sings as he checks out the shelves of items.]
Item shop, oh item shop, oh what do you got today?
Item shop, oh item shop, come on out and play!
Will I find a skateboard, or maybe some new cards?
There's plenty of neat stuff everywhere, it stretches on for yards!
[He then opens his eyes, ready to sing about the first thing he sees.
But the first thing he sees is a set of gigantic dresses that look like they freshly arrived, draped over an entire shelf.
He knows those clothes. And he's been here long enough to know what they mean. Instantly, his expression crumples and he sniffles, looking at one dress as if it were the person who should be wearing it.]
Mom?!
no subject
She would rather like to have her own dress back, though. Finding out where to retrieve it is a simple matter of asking around.
As she approaches the store, she can hear music coming from inside. What is that instrument? It sounds familiar, but she can't quite name it. Greg would know. The accompanying singing voice is adorable, though. It brings a smile to her face even before she pushes the door open.
And then she does.
The singing has stopped now. Even so, she glances around the shop in hopes of finding the source of it.]

He hears the door open, and it's not hard to tell who it is. The shelves are all shorter than her after all, and he can make out very familiar-looking pink hair. That's her - it has to be her. Is he ready yet?
Steven tries to press his back against one shelf that is facing the back of the store. Maybe he can slip away without being noticed...
But as he tries to scurry away, he trips over the ukulele, having left it on the floor. He gives an off, and the instrument itself makes a sound as its tripped over. Whoops...]
no subject
And then the noise of the ukulele reaches her ears. Is someone playing hide and seek? Oooh...! She approaches at a cautious pace, then peeks around a corner to find a young boy. D'aawwww. She should've known, going by the sound of that singing.
A moment of silence, then she steps towards him and crouches down, holding out a hand for him for him to take.]
Are you alright?

There's one small pudgy kid who seems to be staring around intently, a few pokeballs attached to his side. Then, the time comes when his eyes lock with the woman nearby.
!
The boy quickly narrows in and... erupts in a cheer?!]
Yay!! We made eye contact! Hey, you know, we should be poke-friends!
no subject
With a Growlithe hovering by her side, she looks over to the kid and walks over, casting him a sheepish smile.]
Are you so sure that's a good idea? [She chuckled.] I could be an axe murderer.
[Says the woman with the badge and sporting a light blue uniform. No, she's not an axe murder. But she just might could help him.]
no subject
Awww, you don't look so bad! I don't think you would murder anyone.
[His grin manages to grow broader.]
But mayyyybe you would axe them a question! [What better way to break the ice then with a pun? Steven smiles confidently as he awaits her response.]

[Giggling, she offers Stephen her hand.]

movies + cooking duo!
It had even gone straight to dvd for their convenience. First things first though, while the previews played out on the tv, they needed to make snacks. Quick ones, at that. Though they were already out to a bad start. ]
Looks like your out of popcorn, Steven.
no subject
Was this an emergency?! Steven immediately frets as he hears about the lack of popcorn. Did Amethyst finish it off when he wasn't paying attention?]
No popcorn?! Oh no! What does this mean for movie night? You can't watch a movie without popcorn... It's just not natural!
I'm so sorry, Connie...
[Truly this is the deepest way that he has failed her...]
no subject
With a confident fist pump, Connie turns to Steven. ]
It's fine! We can think of something if we work together! [ They didn't need to call The Crystal Gems just yet. First things first! ]
We need something else to replace the buttery part of it.

You're right, Connie. We can do it!

so! on whichever leg of his journey Steven may be on, he might find himself walking in on a young lady in a white blouse and black skirt sitting in a tree with a honchcrow, scribbling furiously in a notepad.
or maybe a falling piece of paper hits him in the face as she tears off a page in frustration and tosses it. whatever she's working on isn't going well, possibly. ]
What am I trying to do, put them to sleep? I can do better than this!
no subject
Then he looks up and notices that unusual tree lady. A Pidgey on his shoulder picks up the page in its bill, and Steven has the Pidgey point it upwards as he tries to shout up to her.]
Um... Hey, Miss Tree Lady, you dropped this! Is everything okay?
no subject
Peachy! Just fine! If you count being blocked to high heavens fine... [ and more discarded paper starts pattering down on Steven's head. ]
no subject
Yay, paper rain! Just like in the movies!
Um... but... what exactly is blocking you? I wanna help!
