[ first day of schooool!!

there's only one free seat in class, and it's right next to a fellow bowlcut. this particular bowlcut seems to be napping, but throughout Lee's introduction to the class she'd been propping up a book and seemed to be eating a whole bento lunch very sneakily behind it, which is to say super obviously at all.

and now she's basically snoring away as sensei starts on a history lesson on glorious Honnoji island and its fascist takeover regime.

[She's such an interesting classmate with a wide variety of activities! And a youthful choice in hair.

This whole lesson is full of knowledge! Lee is racing, trying to scribble down notes at lightning speed, but he can't help but notice the state of his classmate.

She looks like she's sleeping! She's missing out on precious knowledge... what to do?!

He does decide, reluctantly, to break his streak of lightning note-taking to gently prod at her shoulder with his elbow, to try to stir her awake. Open your eyes and your heart to education, classmate!]

[ ahh, precious knowledge draining away in the ears of the uninformed. all around them students appear to be busily chipping away at notebooks with mechanical pencils as rotely and with the precision of clocks ticking away. Mako snores just in sync, totally oblivious. it seems like everyone is used to this too.

she reaches out and grasps Lee's wrist in a surprisingly powerful grip. squeeeze-- ] Mmmmataro, stop it... I'll give you an indian burn... five more minutes... [ zzzz nap waking fails. ]
