Here I go! [Aang... might be cheating just a little bit! He runs really quickly across the sand, and there's a gust of wind as he tries to run past her towards the water, with a cheesey smile.]

[ oh hell no she sees that. ] Aang--!!

[ well if that's how it goes.

let's BEND A WAVE right towards her to carry her to the shore faster! ]

J-just getting some fresh air, Katara! [He says oh so cheekily as he goes onwards. ...Maybe he'll bend part of that wave towards him to help out even more.]

Is that so? Then I'll just have to try harder to make a splash! [ omg, how dare he use her own water.

maybe she'll bend a small whip of water to splash him on the forehead in reproach, so there. ]

Whoa! [He flinches at that. Yes ma'am he'll leave her water alone now... but keep on running.] You're making waves alright!

Of course.

And I can catch air, too! [ she jumps onto the main, bigger wave bent in from the ocean and lifts her arms, making it rear up high.

... now to try to race to the bay! apparently bending is a-ok now. ]

Whoa! Well... um... things'll get sandy! [He can earthbend, too! So he bends the sand beneath his feet and gets moving even more to get towards that water!]

That doesn't even make sense! [ darn, earthbending his way there is going to be tough to beat. but that's what comes out of challenging her boyfriend the avatar.

... how about she tries to bend seawater into the sand to make it soggier! almost quicksandy, but probably not quite. ]

[He giggles as she strikes back! And he increases the airbending to try to go faster. ...But not too much. He decided to throw the match anyway, and so he arrives after her.]

Wow, Katara! Great job! You're the best in the world.

I'm the wha-- [ just when she'd about to have a mind to chew him out for letting him win, but the compliment is a critical hit and her tremendous wave towards the beach hits.

she splashes into the water with slightly less elegance than she would've liked. ]

[Whoops! Aang just laughs at that and wades into the water to try to see if the graceful fallen angel needs any help.]

[ t-too cute. she clears her throat, puts her hands on her hips in mock-petulance. ]

[ then waterbends him up in a surprise swell of a wave out of nowhere. ] Embarrassing remarks like that are unfair, Aang!

[At first, he reacted to her pose with a shy smile. But then, he finds himself being waterbended up with a frantic giggle.]

H-hey, all's fair in love and waterbending, Katara! Do I get to come down?

I dunno, do you get to come down? [ beaming up at him as she raises her arms and raises him in a even higher waterspout. ] You just mentioned that all's fair in love and waterbending! [ surely they're masters of both. ]

Whoa! [He flails a bit as he goes up even higher. But then he smirks mischievously.]

Hmm... I guess that you're right! Maybe I don't get to come down. But you can come up! [Now he tries to raise an identical water spout from right beneath Katara!]

[ she's surprised for a second, but then braces herself against the rising water and even speeds up the ascent with a motion of her arm ] That works--!

[ especially so she can TACKLE AANG once she gets close enough in a master waterhug that knocks them both off the spouts into the bay. geronimo!! ]

[He was laughing as he made his way up, and then he gasped as he was suddenly tackled!

Falling falling falling down to the bay. He finds himself laughing again and clings to Katara as they fall like a spider monkey.]

Now this is how we laugh at gravity! [He breathes into her neck just before they make the splash.]

[ AAHhhh gosh that's nice, good thing he probably couldn't see her blush a split second before they hit the water. she clings back--there's no time for her to reply, but she doesn't relinquish the embrace even when underwater.

also that cheesy remark needs payback somehow.

[They really made a splash! With their arms and legs tangled around each other, it feels so great and flusters him at the same time.

Then, he's surprised by a kiss, and he blushes as much as is possible under the curtain of water. He presses his lips back against hers, following cheesy remarks with a cheesy kiss.

A really long one, too. Airbenders are the best for underwater kisses, after all. They can keep enough air stored up and passig between both sets of lips to last them a good amount of time.]

[ benefits to dating the avatar, master airbender and master of cheese. she's briefly startled at first, but quickly adjusts and giggles into the kiss, which... does escape in a few air bubbles up to the surface. darn.

better make the rest of the makeout count. her hair floats around her face so she finally unwraps her arms around his shoulders to brush a few strands out of her eyes and bring them up to cup his cheeks so she can kiss him slightly properly. cheesy but heartfelt. ]

[Aw. Don't worry, he's fully ready to make this last. He looks right into her eyes, which blend in the water so naturally, and he releases a trail of bubbles of his own as he giggles back. His hands lay smoothly on her shoulders, and his feet lightly tap against her waist as they float in the water.

Seeing her hair float like that is really majestic - he loves that Katara will always have all the hair he ever could have wished for. As she cups his cheeks, he leans in as much as he can into the kiss, eyes half-closing as he feeds into it. Let him kissbend all his feels at you. All of them.]

[ would Aang ever wish for hair?? not going to lie, she did like his brief stint with his Kuzon cut back in the fire nation, but she liked him in whichever look he was in. who knows, maybe he'd rock some facial hair in the future.

but that's the future and this is now. she tilts her head in, kissing back rather more gently this time, just as tenderly as he was. waterbenders could hold their breath for quite some time, too.

so she was totally cool with going as long as they possibly could underwater, where Sokka wasn't around to yell at them for being sweet at each other. ]

[He could never wish while he's an air nomad! But he's ready to live vicariously through Katara's gorgeous mane of hair.

He'll take his time with this sudden round of aqua-kissing. It's a beautiful and unique atmosphere under the water after all. He rubs at her arms for a moment as she kisses him. Then he leans back for just a moment, looking at her with a coy smile, and then he slowly closes in to softly plant another kiss back on her lips, slowly and lovingly.]

[ best boyfriend ever. she looks briefly mock-petulant when he pulls away, but brightens right on up at the return kiss. Aang always comes back to her. and she does the same, naturally, wrapping her arms around his neck and happily kissing back, rubbing his shoulder fondly as she lets her eyes fall shut in contentment.

it'd be nice to stay like this forever. not quite practical, and even she's slowly running out of air, but... this was nice. water makeouts were novel, right? it kinda makes her wonder if they could ever try it on the glider in the sky, as much as it's still not quite her element. ]
