Open Post 2019!

【the CALL ME OUT meme】
a roleplay meme to inspire muses.

The above muses are the ones I currently feel the most confident in and/or am currently voicetesting. You can also consult my muse list and request one of my other muses, although depending on the character I may be either slower or just not feeling it.
post "calling" one of them out — you can do so by putting their name in the subject line!
can be informal/formal/comment spam/crosscanon/explicit/whatever tickles your fancy! Some possible memes/AUs to exploit for prompts or general ideas are the Random Scenario Meme, Scenario Generator, Caught in the Rain Meme, Jamjar Meme, Shared Dreaming, Body Heat Meme, Train to the Afterlife, Pokemon AU, Harry Potter AU or Talent Development Plan AU for Dangan Ronpa characters.
I'm open to many scenarios. The main exceptions are that I don't play smut (nsfw elements are still fine in threads with characters other than Steven), and I prefer to avoid threads that are at extremes of being dark/depressing/violent.
feel free to make up a scenario at the start, or wait to see where things go.

Over the past few months, Peter had been readjusting to once again being the one and only Spider-Man. This came with trying to get his life together, to limited success. He managed to reconnect with Mary Jane; ultimately, things did not work out, although this time their parting was more amicable. And he had been trying to get back in shape, though he wasn't quite all the way there. But there was no better way to exercise than hitting the streets and looking for criminals to tangle with.

He had been idly webslinging from building to building, as he had no leads to follow at the moment. His rogues gallery was quiet for the time being. Eventually, his spider senses went off as he neared one abandoned storage facility. Looking down, he spotted someone lying on the ground. That certainly looked concerning! So he swung down to land right beside the fallen man. He leaned over him, and his stomach was practically twisting as he beheld that stab wound. Not only was this man dead, but this was no ordinary killing. There's no time to spend mourning the stranger; Peter shot up to his feet and looked around to examine the circumstances. He had fallen right outside that storage facility, which looked like a prime hiding spot for danger... and no effort had been made to hide the body, so the killer must have been in a hurry. Maybe he could still catch him.

The front door might have been right there, but that was not Spider-Man's style. Rather, he quickly crawled his way up the wall towards one of those windows. There's nothing he could admire more than a nice, big, open window! He crawled right in through one and then up along the ceiling, while trying to get a good luck at everything happening below. And especially for any signs of their enemy...

Chun-Li edged along the wall, her dark eyes flitting back and forth down the hallways for signs of movement. Each step was careful and cautious as she shifted her weight, not wanting to make any sound. She was tense, but not afraid; the last thing she wanted to do was fire a panic shot and hit her partner given that he was sweeping this floor too.

In the large space up ahead, a shadow flickered across the floor -- a slender male silhouette in the window, crouched, obviously agile given his flexibility and stance. It sure looked like Vega if he'd ditched the coat, and he probably had so he could move through the facility more easily and silently. Chun-Li held her breath and raised her gun, her pulse elevating. Finally! She'd been after this guy for years now, the assassin was as slippery as he was cruel. ...Aaaand he was moving upward? Probably looking for an ambush spot in the rafters. Best to get him now than wait for him to drop on her, she thought.

Back pressed against the wall, she released her breath slowly. Then she snapped out, gun gripped in both hands pointed at the ceiling at the colorful...red and blue...guy? Spandex, but no claw. Not Vega. And he was clinging to the ceiling with just his hands and feet!

Was this the spider guy the chief told her about?

"Freeze!" she ordered with a sharp command. "Drop, hands up!"

Spider-Man made his way carefully along the ceiling as easily as crawling along the floor. But he did not get much of a chance to figure out his surroundings when his spider sense flashed - and almost instantly he heard a woman calling out to him. Looking towards her, he finds himself looking right at the gun in her hands. He does drop to his feet and raises his hands in the air - but he does so while standing on the ceiling.

"Whoa whoa whoa, slow down!" He calls back to her without moving from his current position. He wonders - is this woman with the police, or the murderer? Until he knows for sure, he's hesitant to make any moves. He doesn't want to put himself at an enemy's mercy, or end up fighting an officer. But at least his spider sense could help him to avoid any potential bullets.

"Can't a guy go for a nice stroll on the ceiling in peace around here?" he quips.
