Digital Voicetest

Voice test post for Taichi Yagami (and Agumon) from Digimon Adventure 01! For the most part it's anything goes, here's some general thing:
-In terms of tone: Nothing too grim or dark, and obviously no smut. Don't want to jump into ships with him either.
-Feel free to plunder the random scenario meme and/or rp scenario generator for ideas! Adventures may work the best.
-I'm playing him from 01 and haven't seen any of 02 yet. I'm still open to playing with 02 muses! I'll just need some explanation of whatever I need to know for a particular thread. I'd like to avoid getting spoiled where I can, but that's not too big a priority.
-Also it's cool to tag me with dub-based stuff! I'm playing Taichi based on the Japanese version, but I can at least adapt to using the English names where applicable.

That is to say, now it's the two of them, stuck together and separated from the others in this wacky Digital World. Presumably with the goal of finding everyone else, but for now, here they are with their respective Digimon partners.]
Taichi, I don't think we're going the right way.
no subject
And Taichi is just sighing at Joe's criticism. He doesn't seem that bothered by their current situation at all, casually pressing onwards with his hands folded behind his head.]
Joe, you're worrying too much! We're not going to make it to meeting place in time if we start doubting ourselves. So just lighten up!
[But the forest is getting darker than they should, and Agumon seems to be a bit unnerved by this scenery, although he doesn't voice this just yet.]
no subject
And we won't make it to the meeting place at all if we keep going the wrong way! Everyone else will meet up, and go "hey, where's Joe and Taichi?" and you know what we'll say back? Nothing! Because we'll be lost in this forest!
Look, why don't we try and find a high enough vantage point so we can make sure we're going the right way? That won't take up a lot of time, right?
no subject
But, luckily, Joe isn't Yamato, so Taichi compromises a little more easily.]
Fine! If it makes you feel better, we'll take a look. Alright? [Taichi whips out his handy dandy mini telescope and already tries scaling the nearest tree.]
no subject
[He doesn't like arguing either, but at least it convinced Taichi to try and get them a better idea of where they should be going. Taichi begins to scale a nearby tree, and Joe...
Well. An attempt was made. Maybe he should leave the tree climbing to Taichi. Gomamon watches on, shaking his head a little as he watches.]
Come on, Joe! You climbed one of these pretty fast when you were being chased earlier!
That was different!! I was going to die!!

it's a mystery. ]
How flexible are you? We can start with a beginner's routine.
no subject
Terriermon's really impressive for such a tiny Digimon! Even if... he can't really tell whatever's going on with those ears. Taichi doesn't want to give a bad first impression, so he responds with an overconfident smirk.]
Why don't I show you how flexible I am? Check this out! [Taichi then proceeds to... bend forward, trying to touch his toes. It looks like he's coming close!
Agumon is right next to Taichi and mimicking his movements in solidarity. However, Agumon's claws don't come close to reaching his toes; rather, he ends up stumbling over forward and faceplanting on the floor.]
Sorry...
no subject
Looks like we have a long way to go. How about I give you a hand?
[ and apparently his idea of this is to... hop up onto Agumon's upturned back and then onto Taichi's shoulders, hopefully adding weight enough for him to touch his toes.
or pull a muscle trying. ]
no subject
Whoa! I... I'm fine...! [But it's a little late for protests. It looks like he's about to actually touch his toes, but with Terriermon's sudden hop on his back... instead it's time for him to tumble onto the ground next to Agumon.]

Thanks to Palmon's quick thinking and a shout of Poison Ivy, Mimi doesn't go flying off too far away, and neither does Taichi and his partner. A moment that has them all hanging by vines off a tree-branch...
Same old, same old. After her initial scream of surprise, Mimi can only sigh at their current circumstance, with as clear as it is that they've been separated from the other children.]
And just when we were all together again...
no subject
Taichi doesn't seem too bothered, after his own initial moment of shock, and he tries to work his way up to the tree branch. Agumon just dangles helplessly in his own vine.]
It's starting to get annoying, but we'll all be together again in no time. Count on it! [He tries to ward away the worries with a confident smirk.]
no subject
[Though now really wasn't the time for one of those speeches, not when they were still practically dangling midair.]
Do you think we'll be able to get back up this way?
[She starts climbing up after him, though with the trepidation of worry whether or not that branch would continue to hold them. Palmon keep a safe hold on Agumon, waiting for the two kids to get to safety before she figures out how to help get him up there too.]
no subject
Always! And we don't want to ruin our record, right? And...
[Then his expression turns flat and the confidence falls from his voice.]
...I've got no clue if there's a way back up there.
no subject
You're right! And - oh...
[It's enough to make her take a better look at the surroundings, see just how precarious their current positioning is, gulp and nearly lose her hold as she attempts to reach out toward Taichi.]
Mimi! Taichi! Be careful!
[There's clearly a growing strain in Palmon's voice.] I don't know how long I can hang on for!

At least, that had been the plan.
They'd taken a shortcut (Taichi's idea) and got ambushed by a Digimon (also Taichi's fault, in Yamato's opinion) and now they were far away from the rest of the group, with no idea which way they came or how to get back. Yamato has been walking in sullen silence ever since, hands stuffed in his pockets and one hand on his Digivice on the off chance it might pick up any of the others. Agumon and Gabumon were chattering to try to keep their spirits up, but as the hours passed even that stopped, Gabumon falling back to walk by Yamato's side instead.
It's almost dark, and they're still no closer to figuring out how to go back the way they came. Yamato has kept quiet so far, for the sake of working together to find the others again, but now he finally snaps.]
This is stupid! We've been walking for hours, and we're only getting further away!
no subject
Taichi had been so sure of the shortcut, since he had mapped out the area (as artistically as ever), but it was becoming clearer that something must have gone wrong somewhere. Maybe their sense of direction got thrown off after that fight they had? Then it must have been Yamato's fault.
Still, he was stubbornly pressing on while a more level-headed Agumon felt a little more conflicted about this course of action, and in the face of the tension with Yamato.
Once Yamato had his outburst, Taichi turned around quickly to respond, his cool quickly melting.]
Yamato! Does complaining ever solve anything? No! The only thing that works is pressing forward! [Agumon already tries to raise his arms placatingly to try to calm Taichi down, as futile as he knows it may be when it's a clash with Yamato.]
no subject
What's the point in pressing forwards if we're going the wrong way? You're just saying it works because you don't want to admit you're wrong! How can you be so selfish?!
Yamato, fighting won't help either...!
[Gabumon tries to tug on the back of his shirt to get his attention, but Yamato ignores him completely, focusing instead on Taichi. Why does he never learn?]
no subject
Selfish?! I'm the only one with a plan here, and I know I can still make it work! All you have is complaining... it's always the same, Yamato!
Taichi, he might have a point...
no subject
[Yamato squares up to Taichi, while Gabumon looks at Agumon with a helpless "what do we do?" expression. He can tell this is going to come to blows at this rate.]
What if something happens to Takeru and the others, and you were more concerned with your stupid plan than them?!

Now that it was just Taichi, Takeru, and their Digimon in the Digital World, what were they suppose to do now? While he was a little nervous without his brother around, at least he had Taichi right?]
Taichi-san, are we going to find the others soon? I'm getting worried about them.
no subject
Hey, Takeru, it's alright. Remember how strong our Digimon have become? And how strong we've all become, too. They'll be just fine until we find them! Okay?
[Heh, it almost felt like he was assuring himself at the same time. Agumon also felt the need to chime in.]
That's right, Takeru! Gabumon and the others are ready to take on anything!
no subject
[While he knew the others were okay, that didn't stop him from feeling worried. After all, it was a dangerous place in the Digital World]
I'm scared there might be some evil Digimon that they can't fight. And how long it took for us to beat them too. Are they really going to be okay?
[At the same time, all Patamon could do was just frown a bit as he sat on top of his head]
I'm sure they are, Takeru. You just gotta believe they'll be okay!
no subject
I know they'll hold down the fort until we get there. Your brother's really tough, you know!
And we can move even faster so we can find them as soon as possible!

Because while Arata is in the know about the likes of Digimon, he's never actually been here...all he knows is apparently it's where Digimon originate from, but the digital realm he was used to traversing with his own was entirely manmade.
And, well, he's a little nervous with neither Ami or Nokia around, but as if he'd ever acknowledge that. He is a cool! And collected!! Guy!!! At all times. So clearly this is no big deal. The only comfort is he still has his own digimon with him, a keramon sat on his shoulder...well, less sat and more balancing itself with the end of its body wrapped around his arm.]
Not that I have anything against your home or anything...this is all just a lot greener than I expected.
[Especially compared to how industrial everything is back home...not that Keramon has anything useful to say. It just offers its usual silence, and creepy grin.
But after a little while of wandering he spots Agumon in the distance, and even though in a place like this it's a one in a million chance, what if it was Nokia's Agumon? What if she was here too? He had to check.
So Arata suddenly breaks out into a faster pace, jogging and waving his arm.]
Oiiiiii, you there! Agumon!
no subject
[Agumon does perk up as he's called out to! But... in a very confused manner as he glances towards the approaching person. He waves his hand meekly towards the person, hoping he hasn't forgotten a friend.]
Hi!
[But his eyes widen in surprise, and he falls silent at the site of the Keramon. And nearby, there's a kid with giant hair who looks confused by the sudden arrival. He gives a sharp glance towards them before he looks back at Agumon nonchalantly.]
Oi, Agumon. Who's this - another friend of yours? [But then when Taichi looks again, it's his turn to look startled as he finally recognizes that Digimon.] K- Keramon?!
