Two voice tests for the price of one! Feel free to ask for either or both of these characters from Steven Universe.

Steven Universe is a goofy kid who wants to be friends with everyone. But he's also half human and half-Gem, which gives him special powers, and he's learning to try to use those powers to help protect the people he cares about as well as the Earth in general and to help out the three Crystal Gems who raised him.

Greg Universe is his father, a happy-go-lucky guy who used to be one-man rock band and currently runs a car wash. He's always eager to spend time with his son and be supportive of him, even if his very wary of the danger that comes with the life of being a Gem.

General guidelines:
-I am fully up to date on the series, so I can work with any canon point! I would probably prefer to play from most recent points, however.
-No smut. And in terms of shipping, only Steve/Connie and Rose/Greg.
-Otherwise pretty much everything is game! Except probably keeping things from getting too dark/bleak. Feel free to use a random scenario meme or a RP Scenario Generator for ideas!

Help? [ that's. definitely a unique offer, for her. Aya abruptly swings down from the branch so she's hanging upside-down, still clutching a notebook and pen. a camera hangs off her neck but miraculously doesn't fall.

Hmm... but you're pretty young to be useful, probably. And what kind of movies are you watching that has paper rain?

Anyway, ever heard of writer's block?

[Magical upside down girl. Impressive! Steven just looks up towards her, looking impressed.]

A bunch of kinds! Whenever the rich bad guy gets beaten in the movie, his paper money falls all over the place. Paper rain!

[He strokes at his chin in thought.]

I never heard of writer's block... but I know all about the Saturday morning block!

Aaah? But the closest thing to a villain is the block, though I suppose my stories are more valuable than any currency... [ but. maybe that's a stretch. she squints at Steven while still upside-down, ripping off still one more page and letting it fall on his face. ]

I suppose you're still at that age. Writer's block is a scourge, the worst kind of plague. And I'm afflicted.

[Steven just looks up without moving and lets the paper fall flat on his face. Then he laughs.

But as she brings up her affliction, he peels the paper off his face and looks more seriously towards her.]

That sounds really serious! What can I do to cure it?

What makes you think you can? In the first place, it's something I have to deal with, not quite any of your business. [ you... stranger kid, you. ]

[roseheartz]

[C'mon, Steven. It's because the jokes are silly that she's laughing. If they weren't silly, would they even be jokes? She has to counter this. She has to add to the comedy. Let's see...]

I suppose one might say that... [snicker snort] That joke really took flight...! [GEDDIT.]

[jamminshield]

[Pfffft, now that one's great! Steven does some belly laughs and slaps at his knees, then wipes a tear from his eyes.]

Good one, Mom!

[roseheartz]

[That last word seems to fall between them like something heavy. ...Or maybe that's just her. Either way, it wipes the amusement off her face again. She heard that correctly, didn't she?]

... Mom?

[jamminshield]

[His eyes widen and his smile fades as he realizes what just happened, and he wonders if he ruined a beautiful moment.

...He's not sure what to say from there. He knows he doesn't want to lie to his mother's face. So he asks, hesitantly.]

Do you... know who I am?

[jamminsword]

[ Once she's confident that the blush has mostly faded away, Connie turns back to Steven. She won't deny that it was her idea, but it wouldn't have gone anywhere without Steven. ]

You've got jokes aplenty! [ She chirps in cheerfully before going after him. Disappointment flicks on her face when she realizes that they can't reach either one though. They could think of way to get it without the gems though, right? ]

Maybe if you stood on my shoulders? [ Could she even hold Steven up? She wasn't really sure, but she couldn't reverse it while she was wearing a dress. ]

[jamminshield]

[Yes, Steven is 2pure for that option. So he doesn't see any way other than her proposal. He looks on thoughtfully for a moment.]

Are you sure you wanna try, Connie? I- I know I'm kinda heavy. [He admits a little shyly, as he looks away and rubs at his neck.]

Oh him?

[Said looking down at the pup, as he rubs gently against Stephen's leg, letting out a happy 'bark'.]

This is my trusty partner, Pip! He helps me put away bad guys! Like Team Rocket...

[Seras pumps a fist against her chest, letting out a light chuckle.]

I presume you're starting out as a trainer yourself?

[roseheartz]

[The moment isn't ruined, it's just- ... yeah, okay, it's slightly ruined. She's so confused. Is she supposed to know this boy? She doesn't remember him and she genuinely feels bad about it.]

... I'm sorry, I can't say that I do.

[jamminshield]

[She doesn't know.

"Steven. We can't both exist."

He smiles.]

It's okay! It's nothing to worry about! Let's... get to know each other now, for the first time!

[roseheartz]

[Nothing to worry about? She finds that hard to believe, but even so... She'll try to put that concern aside for a moment.]

Alright. Then... My name is Rose Quartz [-Though she has a sneaking suspicion that he already knows that-], but please, call me Rose. And you are?

[jamminsword]

[ While Steven thinks about it, Connie will be busy mentally preparing herself. She could totally do this! She went through with sword training with Pearl. This couldn't be so hard!

Connie pumps her fist at him encouraging while she nods. ]

I'll be fine! C'mon, Steven, you're not heavy at all!

[jamminshield]

Aw thanks, Connie! [He smiles bashfully.]

...Just wait one second! [He runs up over by his room and runs back moments later. The only difference is that he's now wearing the fluffiest socks that he owns. ...He just really doesn't want to hurt Connie's shoulders.

Then he gives a determined nod.]

Alright. I'm ready!
