RP Preferences?!
-A random list of some types of scenarios I would like to play as they come to mind: bittersweet reunions, dungeon crawling or other general adventuring, silly jamjar event effects, hurt/comfort, solving mysteries/puzzles, being trapped in a dream/nightmare/person's mindscape, one character having to wake the other up from being trapped in their ideal dream world, the last night before the end of the world or some climactic confrontation, one character saving the other from darkness/possession, wacky/awkward/embarrassing shenanigans, stuck in another world, characters playing/trapped in video games, characters being stuck together in some way, karaoke/dancing, drunk adventures (not for the kid characters of course). Harry Potter, Pokemon, Avatar and Zelda AUs can all be fun.
-Format-wise, I prefer brackets. I'm open to prose, but I work better with brackets.
-Fight scenes can be either fun or tiring, although it usually differs depending on the character. I'm not too good at writing hand to hand combat (though I feel I'm getting better) and I think I'm better at braining combat when characters are using powers and special abilities instead.
-I am open to playing through dark scenarios, but I prefer for them to not be too bleak/hopeless. Nothing too gory/bloody/etc. and I think I'm generally more comfortable playing within the realms of content that are allowed in my characters' respective canons.
-I don't smut either and I'm generally not good at writing intentionally sexy things. I am still open to nsfw scenarios that don't involve actual sex, and I believe that I usually find it easier to focus on a comedic or fluffy side then to try to sexy. (This is probably why most of the characters I pick up are ones who are vanilla/inexperienced/clueless themselves...)
-In terms of ships, I mostly lean towards writing m/f, although I don't mind trying out otherwise. I feel that my tastes usually lean towards the vanilla. Some shipping tropes I like include friends to more, long distance relationships, action stuff (a couple kicking ass together and/or one protecting the other while they're injured), characters being hilariously sappy, love confessions, a bodyguard scenario, soulmate/soulmate fuck-up, cuddling and shippy variants on pretty much any of the scenarios mentioned above. Even though I talk a lot about fluff, I do also like characters working through complicated problems, and stuff that ends up unrequited/platonic is fine too. Generally I welcome variety in relationships.
-Also in terms of shipping, Rock Lee, Kurt Wagner and Dick Gumshoe are probably my most open in terms of experimenting with shipping with a variety of characters from within canon as well as cross-canon, as long as they're age appropriate (and no incest/etc). With my other characters, my interest in shipping them is a bit more limited if existent at all, or limited to specific canon ships.
